Unlock the subtle art of mixing realistic skin tones for portraiture in this focused workshop. Working with both acrylic and oil paints, you’ll learn how to create a wide range of lifelike hues and nuanced variations that bring painted faces to life. While we won’t be painting full portraits, the session concentrates on the essential colour theory and mixing techniques that underpin successful portrait work. Suitable for artists familiar with any medium. The principles of colour remain the same.

The session will be taught in my studio at Yarn Studios, Unit A, Wharf Street, Shipley, BD17 7DW.
